PDP Sokoto Leader Defects To APC

Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Chairman of Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Alhaji Jelani Danbuga, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This was contained in a statement by Malam Bashar Abubakar, the Special Assistant to Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto) on New Media, and issued to NAN in Abuja on Monday.

Abubakar disclosed that Wamakko, who is also the leader of the party in the State, received Danbuga into the APC fold on Saturday in Sokoto.

According to him, Wamakko described the defection of Danbuga as a “welcome development and promised, he would be carried along like any APC member ”.

He said that Danbuga was accompanied by Alhaji Yawale Sarkin-Baki, the APC Chairman, Sabon Birni Local Government, and a former Commissioner in Sokoto, Alhaji Ahmad Barade, among other party chieftains.

FRSC reinforces directive on use of google maps while driving

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has clarified its position on the use of Google Maps, The FCT Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ayuba Gora was quoted saying that driving with the aid of Google map using mobile phones is a serious traffic offence. Gora said this at the inauguration of the 2019 Ember Months Campaign by Lugbe Unit Command of the FRSC in Abuja yesterday. But, FRSC Spokesman Bisi Kazeem making reference to Gora’s comments said the Sector Commander was quoted out of context and his statement outrightly misrepresented.
