Manchester City, Inter Milan favourites to sign Messi if he finally decides to leave Barca

Manchester City and Inter are considered the favourites to sign Lionel Messi, according to The Independent. The 33-year-old shocked the world of football when he outlined his intention to leave Barcelona after 20 years at the club on Tuesday. There is confidence within Messi’s camp that the clause in his contract that would allow the Argentine to leave Barça for free will be triggered. However, the Catalans believe that clause has expired and will demand a transfer fee of around €700m for Messi. Manchester City are believed to be working on structuring a deal and the report states that a reunion with Pep Guardiola seems to be the most likely option if Messi does end up leaving the Camp Nou. Guardiola is believed to have been in contact with Messi in recent weeks to discuss a potential move. Serie A side Inter are being noted as City’s closest challengers, although Messi’s salary of around €80m may prove to be too much of a stretch for the Italians.

Mikel Arteta wants Dennis Bergkamp to replace Freddie

Arsenal football club coach Mikel Arteta reportedly wants Dennis Bergkamp to join his coaching staff after Freddie Ljungberg’s departure. As the news broke at the weekend that Freddie Ljungberg was leaving the club, my first thought was ‘Dennis Bergamp is free.’ So, imagine my delight to wake up on Monday morning to see that Arteta is indeed thinking of bringing Dennis back. The last I head, Bergkamp had taken up a new role with Almere City in March 2019 after leaving Ajax under something of a cloud. PSG substitute Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting missed two late opportunities to level for the French side, who are still waiting to win their first Champions League title after billions of euros of investment from the Qatar royal family.

Surprisingly, Wathoni, who had said she wished to go home this weekend, survived the eviction. Away from the evictions, the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, brought a bit of drama to the house by asking the housemates direct and difficult questions that almost pitched them against one another. Ebuka put Brighto on the spot by asking him why he told Kiddwaya that Neo told a lot of lies. As expected, Brighto, denied ever saying such five times and this led to some back and forth between him and Ebuka. The later
