Taking cognisance of this accident, Secretary (Roads) terminated the contract of The Supreme Manor Bhiwnadi Infrastructure Pvt Ltd and the road was handed over to RT Patil, Superintending Engineer, PWD, Thane circle.
The termination notice accepted that the road was not maintained. "..It was also noticed that the potholes are not filled properly with bituminous binder but only by WBM material and murum which further worsened the road condition and made it slippery and lead to the accidental death of Neha Shaikh.." read the letter.

Patil confirmed that the road is under PWD and repairs will be soon completed. "Supreme has been terminated. It was raining for past few days and then Diwali festival. We will complete repairs in the next five-six days."

Locals, on the other hand, are up in arms against the administration for conditions of the road, "This road has led to many deaths. We have asked to register a criminal complaint against people responsible for the bad condition of the raod," said Asgar Patel, a local resident.
