The Authorities of the University of Uyo has banned the use of wristwatches by students in examination.
A statement dated May 20 and signed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) Prof. Enoidem Usoro, said students are now prohibited from wearing wristwatches to examination halls; and the ban takes effect from the 1st semester 2018/2019 Examinations.
Could this be a great step to curb exam malpractices and would this move be emulated by other institutions? Time would tell.
