Travel Guide: Six must-visit tourist destinations in Dubai

Dubai, the most popular city in the UAE, is known for its magnificent architecture, luxury shopping and numerous attractions.

In case you plan visiting, here are some places you must visit to make the most of your time in the breathtaking city.

Burj Khalifa:
This is the tallest man-made structure in the world and it should be your first port of visit if you ever find yourself in Dubai.

It offers an amazing view of the beautiful skyline of Dubai and even beyond that, the Arabian deserts can be seen from the top of the Burj Khalifa.

Palm Jumeirah:
This archipelago is one of the three palm islands on the coast of Dubai. It is often called the “eighth wonder of the world”. It has the shape of a palm tree hence the name Palm Jumeirah.

Burj Al Arab:
Known for its distinctive sail-shaped silhouette, the Burj Al Arab is the third tallest hotel in the world with a height of 1, 053 feet.

It is the only seven-star hotel in the world and it lives up to its reputation with its gold interiors, magnificent aquariums and exquisite restaurants.

Dubai Mall:
With over 1200 retail stories, it is the largest shopping mall in the world. It also houses 22 cinema screens, and 120 restaurants and cafes.

It has a lot of attractions like the Dubai aquarium and underwater zoo which showcases 33 aquatic animals from over 200 species, such as sharks and rays. The Dubai Mall is also home to the SEGA republic which has over 150 amusement games and the Dubai ice rink, among others.

Gold Souk:
This is a traditional market that specialises in jewelry, especially gold as the name implies. It has over 300 shops. Most of the gold there is above 21-karat. The Souk is also known for rare pieces.

Rihanna confirms she's headlining the Super Bowl LVII halftime show

Hurricane Hits Texas, One Person Reported Dead

Hurricane Harvey hit Texas as a Category 4 storm on Friday, battering the coast with 130-mph winds and torrential rain.
