Eniola Badmus emerges winner of Celebrity Housemates reality show

Nollywood actress,  Eniola Badmus was on Sunday announced winner of the maiden edition of Celebrity Housemates reality TV show.

The show, which aired on DSTV channels 252 and 256, began on January 12.

The celebrities who took part in the show were Ruggedman, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Eniola Badmus, Emmanuel Ikubuese, Peggy Ovire, Bolanle Ninalowo, Funky Mallam, Muma Gee, Fredrick Leonard, Ada Ameh, Ogenna Ekwubiri and Doris Simeon.

As the winner, Badmus received a cash prize of N7 million.

In a post on her Instagram page, Badmus thanked her fans for their support.

“Words alone can’t express my genuine appreciation. I have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support i received these past weeks on the show,” she wrote.

“Your sincere vote and push for the Eniola Badmus brand has not only made me the winner of the celebrity housemates reality TV show but a clear testimony of the amazing fans I am privileged to have and am indeed grateful.

“Big shout out to the organizers of the show for creating a huge platform you guys are amazing; now I believe you more.

“The host of the show, Keppy Epkeyong, you were awesome I call you bundle of talent. Also to my amazing fellow housemates I can’t lie, I will miss you all.

“The show was particularly drilling but has also prepared me for brighter future with you all in support as usual. I, Eniola Badmus, the winner of the celebrity housemates reality TV show I pray God bless you all.”

Oil prices rise amidst uncertainty over Libyan crude exports

Oil prices rose, Tuesday on uncertainty over Libyan oil exports, although plans by producer cartel OPEC to raise output loom. Brent sweet crude futures, the international benchmark for oil prices, were at 74.95 dollars per barrel at 01.04 GMT, up 22 cents, or 0.3 per cent from their last close. The United States West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were at 68.33 dollars a barrel, up 25 cents, or 0.4 per cent. Traders said prices were mostly driven higher by uncertainty around oil exports by Libya, a member of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Eastern Libyan commander, Khalifa Haftar’s forces have handed control of oil ports to a separate National Oil Corporation (NOC) based in the East of the country. The official state-owned oil company based in the capital Tripoli, also called NOC, will not be allowed to handle that oil anymore, he said.
