Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) yesterday awarded higher degrees, diplomas, admission into first degrees and presented prizes at the university’s ninth convocation ceremony.
Three eminent recipients were also given the university’s honorary doctorate degrees.
The convocation, which held at the university auditorium, was attended by the Visitor, Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who was the special guest of honour.
A statement by the chairman of Academic Ceremonies Committee, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu, said the convocation lecture, titled: Sustainable Development and Quality Assurance in Higher Education, was delivered yesterday by the Executive Secretary of National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof Adamu Abubakar Rasheed.
The convocation lecture was held at the TETFund hall at noon and chaired by TASUED’s Governinng Council Chairman, Prof Olufemi Bamiro.
