  A lawsuit filed by a man seeking to be compensated by St Mary's Mission Hospital in Kenya for allowing his wife to leave the hospital with another man after giving birth, has been struck out by a law court.    The appellant had sued the St. Mary's Mission hospital at Kakamega law courts in 2020 seeking general damages from the facility on grounds that the hospital had discharged his wife and allowed her to leave with another man. After delivering and at the time of discharge, the wife of the appellant claimed he was the baby's father.   The court of appeal judges Patrick Kiage, Mumbi Ngugi and Francis Tuiyott sitting at the Kisumu Court of Appeal, empathized with the man, but disagreed that he (the appellant) be compensated by the hospital for not detaining his wife.  They upheld the lower court's judgement which added that there's no remedy that lies in the law for such grievances.   Kiage said;   "I agree that if a man takes the woman he loves to the hospit

  Some emergency officials have shared information on some of the victims of the building which collapsed in Lagos State on Friday.   It was reported earlier that the house located at 2/4 Oye Sonuga Street, Palm Avenue, Mushin, caved in on Friday, killing four people.   Some emergency officials revealed that two of the victims, a male and female, were having sex when the incident occurred.    An official said;    “In fact they were naked when their bodies were recovered.” Another official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to talk to the press, said;    “We were shocked by what we saw at the scene. The last two victims whose dead bodies were recovered were actually having having sexual intercourse. The man was on top of the prostitute when the building collapsed. Ekiti State First lady, Erelu Bisi Fayemi recently visited a couple blessed with a set of triplets at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) in Ado-Ekiti.     The babies are the first children of 71-year-old Venerable Hezekiah Akenroye, a retired Anglican Priest and his wife, Mrs Durodoluwa Akenroye (45) who were married in April 2016.     The babies were delivered through a cesarean section on Wednesday 21st September 2022, and weighed 2.3kg, 2.0kg and 1.8 kg. Congratulating the couple, Erelu Fayemi who got a hint of the birth of the triplets through a viral news on social media platforms presented the babies with cash and material gifts and charged the couple to ensure they raise the children in the way of the Lord.   Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard has revealed he battled depression during the Covid-19 lockdown. The France international has spoken out about the effects of the Covid-19 lockdown on his mental health. Pavard admits he struggled being isolated and did not open up about his problems at the time.   Twitter earlier today announced that it has begun actively testing an edit button, after months of publicly discussing such a tweak. The trial of "Edit Tweet" will begin with internal employees, then be expanded out to the platform’s "Twitter Blue" subscription population, the company said. The company said on its blog: "Edit Tweet is a feature that lets people make changes to their Tweet after it’s been published. Think of it as a short period of time to do things like fix typos, add missed tags, and more." Under the revision being studied, users could edit a tweet "a few times" in the 30 minutes after the initial posting, in ways that transparently note the changes to "help protect the integrity of the conversation and create a publicly accessible record of what was said," the company said.  Emirates Airlines has announced the resumption of its flight operations to Lagos. According to the airline, flights would resume on September 11, 2022. Emirates Airlines had announced the suspension of its flights to Nigeria from September 1 this year. The proposed suspension of flights to Nigeria is connected to its failure to repatriate its trapped ticket sales fund in the West African country back to its home country in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Federal government last week released $265 million to foreign airlines in the country to settle outstanding ticket sales which had pushed the airline to announce the suspension of its flights. A text sent out announcing the resumption of the flights reads     “We are pleased to inform you that effective from 11th September 2022, we will reinstate operations of our flights.
